Hello.
So, we have a lot of holes and dirt piles on the property now. Luckily, these holes are progress, not problems!
In front, the hole is for the new vestibule which will include a glass-block entrance as well as access to the basement and the upstairs. In back, we have a hole for the new utility room to house the mechanicals for our state-of-the-art heating system. And the last, on the side, is for the new upgraded electrical service we’re bringing in after discussions with the electric company.
The electricians and plumbers have been roughing in their pieces, too. Once we get the foundations and floors poured, you’ll see the work really begin to take off, with the studio, office and lobby taking shape.
So why is it taking so long? Well, you’d never believe how many people are involved in getting it done right. We’ve got architects and structural engineers and the town inspectors to make sure it’s as safe as can be. We are also planning for the tenant space, setting things up so that it is ready for the right inhabitant. We decided, as well, to step back and re-look at the heating and cooling system to see if we could green it up and lessen our carbon footprint. It’s being designed so that we can, at some point, convert to solar power once that technology makes sense for us.
So, we move forward as quickly as we can while making sure to keep future needs in mind. We’re still shooting for opening some time in late fall if all continues to go well.
Here are some recent pictures of our progress:

Thanks so much for your continued support and enjoy this beautiful Autumn!
In the mean time, a good yoga quote: “Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape”.
Namaste,
